Southard Implement Company

Boyd and Grace Southard established Southard Implement Company on June 1, 1951, at that time a Massey-Harris Dealership in the town of Albion, Iowa. In March of 1960, they became a John Deere dealership and moved to Marshalltown, Iowa. Boyd and Grace retired in 1975 turning the Dealership over to their two sons, Richard and Larry. On April 15th,1991, Southard Implement Co. purchased the John Deere Dealership in Tama, Iowa. In 1998, Southard Implement Company opened their newest Dealership in Grinnell, Iowa. In 2010, Southard Implement celebrates its 50th year as a John Deere dealer.
